Pocket Cook Support is Available - Sunday, July 11, 2010
Yes, you see it correctly. Pocket Cook is supported again. forums.pocketcook.net is up and running. It is being populated with the old system information. Systems are working again and if you would like to send an email, don't hesitate.

I've had so many problems happening, that I wanted to just start fresh.  So I removed the program from my PC and from my PDA.  Then I redownloaded the program from your website and reloaded everything.  The PDA version was originally loaded onto a memory card (that was where I thought that maybe I was running into all of those problems) so I loaded it into main memory this time.  It is located at: \my pocket PC\program files\pocket cook.  But somewhere in my system there seems to be some registration that knows that it was loaded on the memory card because when I try to sync (in standard mode) it says:

"could not create remote file -c:\program files\pocket cook deluxe web edition\syncOUT\recipes.pdb to ipaq file store\electronic frontier pocket cook\recipes.pdb file

in Advanced mode I get the message:  "Could not created remote file"

("ipaq file store" is my storage card where it was located before)

AND

on the PDA, I get the message "could not open database - in my device:\program Files\pocket cook recipes" and it opens no recipe file and when I try to "open a cookbook" there are none shone in the list.

Arrrgh!!!  I can see how wonderful this program is going to be when I can finally get it to work.  But I'm so frustrated with it!

Check setup...preferences on Pocket PC and make sure that the default cookbook location is set to Pocket Cook Program Folder. To be sure, change it to somewhere else and then change it back to that again.

Duh, stupid me.  I just found this and it fixed the probs on both systems.  O.K. all is well now.  I'll see if the other problems have been fixed now by reloading.
