I have recently installed the version 7 upgrade.  I have tried to convert the recipes I had on V5 to the new ver7, however, whenever I try to do so, when I go to the convert screen I click the "Browse for V5 database" I get the window saying "Please select the v5 database", I select MyRecipes ( which I know works because I've opened Ver 5 and the recipes are still there) Then I get an error message saying "This is not a v5Recipe Database".  When I select Recipes (this also still opens in Ver 5) the message I get says "Cannot convert Recipes.mdb.Please copy the recipes to another v5 Database and convert that."

As far as the ver 5 program is concerned both of these are recipe databases which can be opened in the program.  I have no idea how to get my recipes into the new Ver 7 without going through the tedious process of having both programs open at the same time and cuting and pasting.

MyRecipes cannot be converted (as per documentation)  HOWEVER all you have to do is copy the contents of MyRecipes to another recipe database in V5 and convert that new database.

I still don't understand.  I cannot convert Recipes.mdb either.  I thought that Recipes.mdb was a database but according to V7 conversion window (as noted above) it seems not to be a database.

These and Added Recipes are all that I have listed in V5 as Pocket Cook databases.  When I try to convert Added Recipes it says "This V7 cookbook already exists. Please check and/or delete and try again"

I don't know where to get another database from or how to create a new one for this purpose.

Version 7 will convert any valid V5 databases. Without seeing the databases I can't tell you why they won't work. If they are relatively small then zip up one and send it to support@pocketcook.net and I can see what the issue is. If 'Added Recipes' can't be converted it is because a file called 'added recipes.cbk' exists in the default v7 cookbook location. Delete it and reconvert again.
